Yes. Wild Hideaways is exclusively for adults. All guests must be 18 or over, and this applies to every booking regardless of the occasion or group size.
Yes. We welcome dogs and cats. Pets are kept on a lead at all times on site due to the rewilded landscape and local wildlife. The pet fee is €15 for one pet, €20 for two, and €25 for three.
Cork Airport is approximately 60 minutes by car. The site is located in the Mealagh Valley near Bantry, in West Cork.
Each lodge sleeps two and includes a private alfresco hot bath, full self-catering kitchen, rainfall shower bathroom, superking bed, luxury linens and robes, outdoor firepit, and panoramic views across the valley toward Bantry Bay.
Yes. The Bayview Sauna and Cold Plunge is available to overnight guests daily from 5pm to 9pm. Private sessions earlier in the day can be arranged on request.
The Wild Sky Dome is our dedicated space for stargazing, yoga, and guided experiences. Wild Hideaways holds DarkSky International Lodging accreditation — the first property in Europe to receive it — and the dome is designed to make the most of the Mealagh Valley night sky.
Yes. We have six lodges and can accommodate up to 12 guests across the site. All guests must be adults. For groups wanting exclusive use of the full property — including the sauna, spa, and Wild Sky Dome — we also offer whole-site retreat hire. Get in touch and we can talk through whichever option suits your group.
EV charging is not available directly from the lodges. If you are travelling by electric vehicle, please contact us before booking and we can advise on the nearest available charging options in the local area.
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am for all bookings.
